Foaled in 2004, Larry is still young, but progressing very nicely. In another half year of training, Larry should be strong enough to start working on half steps, and then piaffe. He has the intelligence, impulsion, endurance, and athelticism to excel in not only dressage, but also hunter/jumpers. He can be quiet and careful for hunters, but when asked, he's light on his feet, quick, and can turn on a dime for jumpers. He is bold, has no problems at all with natural obstacles, and has lived in hilly woods on 16 acres, so he is also highly suitable for eventing.
After only a few months of professional training, Larry went to one very small one-day dressage show for experience. Then a month later, he went to his second dressage show ever, Lamplight, one of the most prestigious show locations in our region, with four competition rings running simultaneously, and jumped from Training level to First level, getting a 66.316% from judge S. Madden Mandas at First Level Test 4, the most difficult. She also commented "Capable pair." This was a First Level Open Division Qualifying Score, with all scores 6 and above. Judge C. Trentleman commented, for his Training Level Test 4, "Elegant Horse!"

Larry is truly unique: he is from Diamond DVE 330's last foal crop, due to losing fertility at a ripe old age; I never got to use my second breeding. Three of his sisters from that year went up for sale for $26K at birth.
All video footage is older: his photos from Lamplight reflect his most recent level of training. More examples or this older footage can be found under hhholsteiners at youtube.
I am moving to Nevada from Illinois ASAP, so please move fast if you live more East, than West! Can help arrange for affordable shipping.
I stand behind the horses I breed, and continue to offer a 22 x-ray guarantee: if your favorite licensed veterinarian (doesn't have to be the vet that takes the x-rays, though they have to consult) doesn't like something on them, causing you to back out of the sale, I buy back that x-ray, with exact explanation, plus up to 22 others taken that day. I do not pay for an x-ray set up fee, any other x-rays, or the overall pre-purchase exam. If they are digital, the vet has to email the x-rays to me, with a copy of each that fail, marked up with arrows or the like, and an explanation. If they are "analog," the x-rays must be mailed to me with explanation, marked up with "sticky arrows" or the like.
Warning: Men are attracted to Larry like magnets! Trainers, chiropractors, barn owner husbands, boarders ...
